After showing initial interest in your service, a discovery call is the first conversation with a prospect. After that, it’s your opportunity to get to know the customer to see if they could be a good fit for your business.

Here are five steps of a regular discovery call:

  1. Plan your discovery call
  2. Make a question and checklist
  3. Ask questions that highlight familiar places your solution adds value
  4. Open up a discussion about the result a solution could deliver
  5. Schedule your next step before you end the call
